CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
REIKI
I Nourish clients by holding space with a calm and centered presence.
I Align clients by restoring balance and well being in mind and body.

I specialize in pre and post frenotomy bodywork for infants using an individualized approach for each client and family.
As an IBCLC, I often saw families struggle with the symptoms caused by tethered oral tissue (TOT): A restriction in the mouth caused by a tongue, lip, or buccal ties. Such restrictions can be responsible for breastfeeding difficulties such as:
-shallow latch
-nipple damage
-slow weight gain
-colic and reflux symptoms
-mastitis
-difficulty staying on the breast
-jaundice
-engorgement
-over supply
-frustration and discouragement
“The presence of tongue tie triples the risk of weaning in the first week of life.” (Ricke et al., 2005)
When visual markers of an oral restriction were observed, I recommended clients see a preferred provider for a functional assessment as well as seek bodywork pre and post release. When paired with a release, I saw firsthand how CranioSacral Therapy contributed to improvements in latch, comfort at the breast, and changes in tongue and jaw movement. As I obtained continuing education in tongue tie release habilitation, it became evidently clear and a natural next step for me to combine my massage therapy and lactation backgrounds and complete CranioSacral Therapy training. I can now focus on the optimal timing of TOT releases, provide bodywork and exercises, and support for families.
What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?
CranioSacral Therapy incorporates a light therapeutic touch and gentle traction to help release bone and tissue restrictions in the body. CranioSacral Therapy works on the connective tissue surrounding the brain and spinal cord to bring the Nervous System into balance. This form of bodywork is gentle and supportive, yet creates deep change.
How Can Children Benefit from CST?
Anyone who wants to improve the function of the nervous system, relieve pain or dysfunction in their body can benefit from CST. Common medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction improved by CST include:

Why Should My Baby Receive CST?
An infant's irregular position in utero can result in abnormal muscle tension and compression in the body. During the birth process an infant’s cranial bones shift to fit through the birth canal. If there is a particularly difficult birth, complications, injuries, or interventions used, this can cause nerve compression. This compression can show up in many ways such as feeding issues, digestive discomfort, and increased fussiness. CST is an excellent, gentle therapy for babies who are experiencing those symptoms, or as regular health care for your newborn.
Why Should I Receive CST?
Each day the body works to compensate for the stresses it endures. These changes unfortunately cause body tissues to tighten and alter the craniosacral system. Restrictions are a result from these alterations that cause tension to form around the brain and spinal cord. This can affect the healthy performance of the central nervous system, resulting in pain and dysfunction in the body. CST uses light touch and gentle traction to help release bone and tissue restrictions.

REIKI
Reiki Healing is a hands-on healing practice. The intended result of receiving Reiki is a balanced physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. Reiki is being used today in clinics and hospitals all over the world to support health, wellness, and transition.
There is no expected experience during a Reiki treatment. Each session is unique for the individual who receives it.
The most common results of Reiki treatment include:
· Reduction in stress
· Increased relaxation
· Improved Sleep
· Reduction in exhaustion and nausea during pregnancy
· Restored general balance & well-being in mind and body
Just like meditation, or exercise, the effects of Reiki are cumulative. While one session can work wonders, repeated, regular Reiki treatments can invite significant improvement and the results will be much more profound.
DISTANT REIKI
There is no difference in the treatment one will receive during a distant Reiki session. The focus and intent from the Reiki practitioner and the desire to receive the treatment is what makes it work.
During the distant Reiki treatment you can prepare a space for yourself to rest and enjoy. Or you can go about your day at that time.
I begin by communicating over a HIPAA compliant platform by phone or video. We will discuss physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual goals or challenges. I also connect via email or by phone or video post treatment to discuss the session.
