Meet Austin

I grew up in a home where responsive parenting, physiological birth, and breastfeeding were central, with my mother serving as a La Leche League Leader, lactation consultant, and nurse midwife. This early exposure to community-centered support shaped my path. I studied pregnancy, birth, and lactation independently while earning a biology degree at Hollins University, then pursued massage therapy at Lotus Professional College.

After the birth of my second child, I became an accredited La Leche League Leader in 2005 and later an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2011. Before the birth of my fourth child, I pursued certification in babywearing education after years of personally using babywearing as a valuable parenting tool. As an IBCLC I began to see how Craniosacral Therapy (CST) could significantly improve latch and comfort for infants, which inspired me to integrate my massage and lactation backgrounds by training as a Craniosacral Therapy Practitioner.

A mother of four and married to an Army veteran, I homeschooled our children for 7 years before moving to Baltimore so they could attend a democratic, self-directed school. I’ve since founded and expanded Nourish and Align, where I continue to grow my expertise.

I am deeply committed to providing the best care for my clients, which is why I prioritize continuing education. From virtual learning to traveling internationally to work with the top educators in the field, I make sure to stay at the forefront of bodywork and lactation to serve my clients in the most effective way possible.
